I joined this site because I was truly hoping for some discussions and suggestions on how to shake up the healthcare system in this country. I share your original goal in joining this site. I have not been active on the site, so do not know the direction it has taken. However, can I make two suggestions? One, take charge of the direction and begin to offer your own thoughts and questions about how to begin to make changes and to shift public thinking and expectations. Secondly, organize local forums in which the public can hear from various professionals about the "vision" described in the book. The more "grassroots" understanding of the issues and options, the more they can influence the politicians, regulators, and the healthcare industry to begin to rethink and chage. Recently attended a day-long forum on future of healthcare at RTP in NC. (See website for "NCSpin" and search "healthcare forum." Also WRAL TV website and search healthcare forum. Good luck.
